Getting to the Fair and Parking

Parking in DowNtown St. Paul

There are abundant parking options in downtown St. Paul just across the river from Harriet Island.

Parking on Harriet Island

Accessible parking

Accessible parking is available on the north side of Water Street between Wabasha and Plato Blvd. until full. Look for accessible parking signs. A golf cart shuttle is available to take guests from this lot to the main gate.

VIP Valet parking

Drive to the West Entrance/Ohage Blvd to get to VIP Valet, West parking lot or the Pavilion. We recommend that you come from 35E and take Lilydale Road to Ohage Blvd. Please have your parking pass or VIP ticket ready and visible for our security check points along the route.

General parking

There is parking along Plato Blvd. from Wabasha Street west toward the park. Many private businesses near the park open their parking lots to the public, most charging a fee that varies at their discretion. The Irish Fair of Minnesota does not control their pricing.

There is no general parking on Water Street during the Fair.

The parking lots on Harriet Island are not open to the public during the festival and require an event parking permit.

Volunteer parking

Refer to the Volunteer Information and Training page for details about volunteer parking and the shuttle.

Passenger drop-off zone

There is no general parking on Water Street during the Fair; however, vehicles may drop passengers off at 175 W Water Street (link to map). This is in front of our Main Gate.

Guest Shuttle

Guests can park in the lot at Comcast Headquarters and take a shuttle to the main entrance of the Irish Fair. Shuttles run approximately every 10 minutes. The fee is $5/car, cash only.

One of the shuttles is wheelchair accessible and runs approximately every 20 minutes.

Bicycle and Scooter

If you prefer to use two wheels, we will have plenty of bicycle racks available! Don't forget your lock.

Note: Bicycles and scooters are not allowed within the fairgrounds. They need to be left outside the gates.

Taxis and Rideshare

Taxis and rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.) can drop passengers off at our main entrance in the designated area on W. Water Street. Direct taxis and rideshares to 175 Water Street W., St. Paul MN 55107.

Directions to the Fairgrounds

Harriet Island is located just across the Mississippi River from Downtown St. Paul. Use 175 Water Street W to help you locate our main gate.
Directions from the west
Take I-94 eastbound to 5th Street exit. Follow 5th Street. Take a right onto Robert Street. Turn right (west) onto Plato Blvd.

Directions from the east
Take I-94 westbound to 6th Street exit. Follow 6th Street. Take a left onto Robert Street. Turn right (west) onto Plato Blvd.
