Volunteer at the Irish Fair of Minnesota
Every year more than 750 volunteers come together to make the Irish Fair of Minnesota what it is. We invite you to join us this year to celebrate the 39th annual Irish Fair of Minnesota and help us make it the best weekend in August 2018!
There are many volunteer opportunities available and we know we can find one that is best suited to your interests and ability. We always welcome new volunteers or groups that would like to volunteer together. For those of you already signed up please see 2018 Volunteer Training Dates.
Each volunteer must attend one of our three 2-hour training sessions and alcohol awareness training in August. The training dates are August 2nd at 6:00pm, August 5th at 2:00pm, and August 6th at 6:00pm. Training occurs at the Harriet Island Pavilion (200 Dr Justus Ohage Blvd). Alcohol awareness training will be provided at every one of our training dates.
Every volunteer during the fair (set-up and clean-up excluded) will receive a free Irish Fair of Minnesota volunteer t-shirt to wear during the event that they will be able to keep. Volunteers during the fair will also receive food and/or beverage tickets redeemable at the event, the number of which is determined by number of shifts that the volunteer works. All shifts are 3.5 hours long, plus free snacks and cold beverages are available throughout each day of the fair for volunteers.
*NOTE: Volunteers in the beverage areas and ID check must be 21 years old or older*
